About

The Audit and Accounts Committee oversees the financial integrity and governance of the Council. It approves the annual statement of accounts and reviews reports from external auditors. The committee also assesses the effectiveness of the Council's risk management, internal controls, and anti-fraud measures. It monitors the work of Internal Audit, reviews reports from inspection agencies, and ensures compliance with corporate governance standards.
