About

The Workforce Panel is responsible for overseeing Salford City Council's strategic workforce and employment matters. It determines staff terms and conditions, approves major organisational and staffing reviews, and sets human resources policies and strategies. The panel also makes decisions on senior staffing structures and post gradings.

Furthermore, it establishes member appointment panels for Chief Officers, oversees disciplinary and appeals processes for statutory chief officers, and determines policies on pensions and discretionary compensation. The panel also makes recommendations to the full Council on the annual Pay Policy Statement and senior pay and severance decisions.
