Title: Disposal of land at Lester Road, Little Hulton

I Councillor Jack Youd, Deputy City Mayor and Lead Member for Finance, Support Services and Regeneration, in exercise of the powers contained within the City Council Constitution, and following consultation with Cabinet Members at the Property/Regeneration Briefing, do hereby:

  1. Approve the freehold transfer of land at Lester Road, Little Hulton to Kenny Global Properties Ltd (Kenny Waste Management) on the terms contained in this report.
  1. Approve the simultaneous surrender of the lease held by Greater Manchester Combined Authority at Lester Road, Little Hulton
  1. Delegate authority to the Executive Director Place in consultation with the Section 151 officer to: negotiate, agree and finalise the detailed terms of the transaction.
  1. Authorise the Shared Legal Service to prepare all necessary documentation and to take all steps which are required to give effect to the above recommendations.

The Reasons: To retain the existing use of the site and generate a capital receipt
