Why is exemption from call-in required – please provide advice as to how any delay will seriously prejudice the legal or financial position of the Council
Add the reasons for the request to waiver call-in.
In order to maintain the agreed contract sum and ensure the delivery of the scheme commences on programme in March 2026 approval is being sought to waive a number of pre-contract conditions within the Development Funding Agreement.
An urgent decision is required as the construction sum can only be held until the 13th March.
Failure to secure urgent approval to the pre-condition waivers will result in significant programme delays and the need to re-tender a number of construction packages. Due to ongoing market inflation forecasts indicate that build costs could increase by a further £850k, a scenario that would render this much needed affordable housing scheme undeliverable.
