Through the tender evaluation and due diligence meeting, the provider demonstrated:

  1. Previous and current experience of delivering safe and effective 0-19 services for other Local Authorities.
  2. How all elements of the service specification will be met.
  3. A strong bid in terms of the service model and delivery.
  4. A robust community and place-based approach to service delivery and vision to improve children health and wellbeing.

Options considered and rejected were: Not to award the contract.

Assessment of Risk: Medium

The incumbent provider has delivered the Healthy Child Programme for over a decade, therefore there will be multiple known and unknown interdependencies with other health services that will need to be risk assessed and managed.
