Salford City Council - Record of
Decision

I, Councillor Tracy Kelly, Lead Member for Housing, in exercise of the powers
contained within the Council Constitution, do hereby:

Approve Salford’s Homelessness Strategy Delivery
Plan  2024 – 2025

The
Reasons are:
In April 2023, City Mayor (in
consultation with Cabinet) approved the new Salford Homelessness
Strategy – Homelessness is Everyone’s Business, and
along with it the annual delivery plan.

This report seeks approval on
the refreshed strategy delivery plan for April 2024 - March 2025,
and highlights the key achievements from the 2023/24
plan.

Options considered and rejected were:
Do nothing – This is not
considered an option.
·
The strategy delivery plan needs to be reviewed and
refreshed on an annual basis to ensure that it remains relevant, up
to date and reflects emerging activity to meet strategic
priorities.

Assessment of Risk: Medium
The strategy identifies
a number of key priorities and
objectives with key delivery outcomes which will be monitored
through the action plan. Risks in terms of the delivery of the
priorities and objectives will be reviewed annually. It is
recognised that there are a number of
outcomes which if not delivered carry significant risks and this is
a statutory requirement. Mitigating these risks will be a key part
of the action plan monitoring.
