Salford City Council - Record of Decision
I Councillor John Merry, in exercise
of the powers contained within the City Council
constitution do
hereby:
(1) Note
the progress made to date on identifying suitable sites.
(2)
Endorse the project outlined in the report, including the phased
approach to the potential site/schemes identified, be
endorsed.
(3)
Approve the proposed installation works, and the use
of the Go Neutral
framework to
go out to tender for their procurement.
The
Reasons are these are the next steps in implementing Salford City
Council’s proposals for the installation of roof mounted
solar PV and solar car ports at up to 27 sites across Salford in
order to increase both local renewable energy generation and the
flexibility of local energy supply, as part of Greater
Manchester’s target to become a carbon-neutral city region by
2038.
Options considered and rejected were: No other options were considered.
