Salford City Council – Record of
Decision
 
I Paul Dennett, City
Mayor, in exercise of the powers
contained within the Council Constitution do hereby:
 

approve the increase in the value of
the SBNI DP3 purchase order to the value set out in the detail of
the Part 2 report.

 

note the intention
for Salford City Council to pursue a legal claim for a proportion
of the additional cost overrun associated with deficiencies in the
utilities diversion processes of the project.

 
3.   
note the intention for SCC to seek additional
funding within the Growth Deal budget to cover the additional costs
not associated with deficiencies through discussions with
TfGM.
 

 
The Reasons are: to enable payment of the final account
sum to the contractor for works on SBNI DP3.
 
Options considered and rejected
were: N/A.
 
Assessment of Risk: High – At this time the
Council needs to underwrite the payment of funds due under contract
to pay the final account. Funding options are under
discussion.
 
The source of funding
is: Place Capital Programme
2023/24.
