Salford City Council - Record of Decision
I,
Councillor John Merry, Deputy
City Mayor, in exercise of the powers contained within the City
Council constitution do hereby
approve:
1.
The proposed expenditure of up to £480,745.92
of Section 106 contributions received, from the Select Property
Riverview development (328) as match funding towards delivery of
Chapel Street East Phase 1 and New Bailey Gateway Phase
2.
2.
The proposed expenditure of up to £870,619.08
of Section 106 contributions received, from the Embankment West
development (357) as match funding towards delivery of Chapel
Street East Phase 1.
3.
The proposal to delegate Authority to the Executive
Director for Place, in consultation with the Head of Planning and
S106 officer, to allocate any remaining Section 106 contributions
not needed for the delivery of Chapel Street East Phase 1 and New
Bailey Gateway Phase 2, towards other named projects in the
respective S106 agreements.
The
Reasons are: The City Mayor had given approval to specific S106
contributions being allocated to named projects. Since then, a
number of factors had changed, resulting in the need to reallocate
some of these contributions previously identified as match funding
towards the delivery of Chapel Street East Phase 2. The proposal
was for these instead to be re-allocated instead, as match funding
towards the delivery of Chapel Street East Phase 1 and New Bailey
Gateway Phase 2, and which the above approvals will
enable.
