Salford City Council - Record of Decision
TITLE:PROPOSED TRANSFER OF TWENTY FIVE
RESIDENTIAL UNITS WITHIN THE ‘KARA STREET DEVELOPMENT’,
LANGWORTHY FROM SALFORD CITY COUNCIL TO DERIVE RP.
 
I, Councillor Kelly, Deputy
City Mayor, in exercise of the powers contained within the City
Council’s constitution do hereby;
 
1.   
Approve the disposal of twenty five residential units on the
land known as the ‘Kara Street development’, Langworthy
to Dérive RP Limited for a term of 999 years.
2.   
Approve the lending of a sum of monies to
Dérive RP Limited to fund the acquisition.
3.   
Delegate authority to the Executive Director Place
in conjunction with the Section 151 officer to: negotiate, agree,
and finalise the detailed terms of the transaction.
4.   
Authorise the Shared Legal Service to prepare all
necessary documentation and to take all steps which are required to
give effect to the above recommendations.
 
The Reasons:
                             
 
To approve the sale of 25 units
(subject to a 999 year lease and restricted to social rented use)
at the new ‘Kara Street, Langworthy’ development to
Derive RP Limited, once acquired by Salford City Council from Salix
Homes.
