Decision

Salford City Council - Record of Decision

Title: Transfer of market rent homes developed by the Council at Longshaw Drive, Little Hulton to Dérive (Salford) Group.

I Councillor Mike McCusker, Deputy City Mayor and Lead Member for Lead Member for Planning, Transport, Sustainable Development and Regeneration, in exercise of the powers contained within the City Council Constitution do hereby:

  1. Approve the disposal of 22 properties in the completed development at the Longshaw Drive site for market rent (PRS) to Dérive (Salford) Group at the values set out in the report by way of freehold transfer.
  2. Approve the lending to Dérive (Salford) Group to fund the acquisition of the market rent units.
  3. Note the final tenure mix as set out in the report.  
  4. Delegate authority to the Deputy Chief Executive (Executive Director of Place) in consultation with the S151 officer to: negotiate, agree, and finalise the detailed terms of the transaction, including such arrangements on estate management, repair and service charge and title matters.
  5. Authorise the Shared Legal Service or externally appointed solicitors to prepare all necessary documentation and to take all steps which are required to give effect to the above recommendations

The Reasons are to authorise transfer and loan values for disposal of 22 homes to Dérive (Salford) Group.

The source of funding is: Housing Capital Programme, with loan to be repaid by Dérive RP over 50 year term.
