About

The Cabinet is responsible for most of Shropshire Council's day-to-day decisions, including preparing the Council's policies and budget, leading community planning, and ensuring best value. Decisions made by the Cabinet, or individual Executive Members, must align with the Council's overall policies and budget. If a decision falls outside these frameworks, it must be referred to the full Council. Decisions are also subject to a 'call-in' process, allowing non-Cabinet members to challenge them, potentially leading to reconsideration. The Cabinet publishes a Forward Plan detailing upcoming key decisions and how the public can make representations.
