Planning Committee

The Planning Committee is responsible for making decisions on all matters related to development and building control within Southend-on-Sea. This includes considering applications for planning permission, listed building consent, advertisement consent, conservation area consent, and hazardous substances consent, as well as dealing with Tree Preservation Orders and enforcement notices. The committee may also visit sites before making decisions. Objectors and applicants have the opportunity to speak at committee meetings, following specific procedures.
