About
The Cabinet is Staffordshire County Council's main policy and decision-making body, handling functions not assigned to other parts of the council and those allocated by the Leader. It comprises the Leader and up to nine other councillors, each with specific portfolio responsibilities.
The Cabinet makes key decisions, which are published in a Forward Plan detailing upcoming actions over the next four months. In exceptional circumstances, decisions not included in the Forward Plan can be made under General Exception or Special Urgency provisions, with notices published on the council's website.
