About
The Werneth Area Committee covers the Bredbury & Woodley and Bredbury Green & Romiley wards. It has delegated powers to determine certain planning applications and can call up applications normally handled by planning officers. The committee also administers a £3000 ward fund for community projects, with applications considered in consultation with ward councillors. Members of the public can ask questions on matters within the committee's powers (excluding legal or confidential issues) and make presentations during an Open Forum on local community matters.
