Purpose

The Cabinet will be ask to consider the MDC Stockport Town Centre MDC Strategic Business Plan for 2026-31.

Decision

The Cabinet has considered a report setting out Stockport Town Centre Mayoral Development Corporation's objectives and delivery commitments over the coming five years to deliver the town centre regeneration ambitions set out in One Stockport One Future, and has given approval the Stockport Town Centre MDC Strategic Business Plan 2026-31 and Annual Action Plan 2026-27.

(NOTE: The report contained a ‘not for publication’ appendix that had been circulated to the Cabinet only).

Alternative options considered

To not produce a Strategic Business Plan for 2026-31. This was rejected as it is a constitutional requirement of the MDC.
