About

The Overview and Scrutiny Committee plays a vital role in holding the Council's Executive (Cabinet) to account, developing and reviewing policies, and monitoring the performance of council services. It also undertakes external scrutiny of other agencies delivering local services.

The committee establishes Task and Finish Groups to conduct detailed investigations into specific issues, reporting back with recommendations. Its work is intended to reflect the priorities of residents.
