About

The Employment Committee is responsible for key decisions and recommendations concerning council staff and senior management at Surrey Heath.

It agrees amendments to employment terms and conditions, and HR policies referred by the Joint Staff Consultative Group. The committee recommends the annual staff pay award and sets terms for independent employment investigations. It also makes decisions on mutually agreed departures for senior officers and reviews remuneration for the Head of Paid Service, making recommendations to the Council. Additionally, it agrees incremental progression for the Chief Executive/Head of Paid Service and approves their recruitment process.
