Plan.

RESOLVED:
 

1.   
That Cabinet agree to adopt the Surrey Hills National Landscape
Management Plan.
 
Reasons for
Decisions:
 
Where a National Landscape is within a Local
Authority’s administrative boundary, the authority has a
statutory duty under Section 89 Part IV of the Countryside and
Rights of Way Act 2000 (“the CRoW
Act”) to prepare and adopt a Management Plan for that area.
Under the same act, Local Authorities must review such plans at
intervals of no more than 5 years.
 
For the Management Plan to come into force,
all Local Authorities that comprise the Surrey Hills National
Landscape must formally adopt the Management Plan.
