Purpose

This decision record sets out the key
information for publication on the decision by the Executive
Director for Adults, Wellbeing and Health Partnerships to approve
expenditure for a Your Fund Surrey project located in Mole Valley.
The agreed recommendations are set out below and details of the
project are set out in a decision report attached as an Annexe to
this record.

It was AGREED
to:
1.   
Fund the full amount requested of up to £78,433
(£88,433 total cost; 89%) comprised of:
·        
£78,433 of capital funding towards the toilets, shower and
washroom to be paid in staged payments, on evidence of
spend
·        
Including 5% to be held by SCC until final evidence of income, expenditure,
building control sign-off
Authorise Legal
Services to seal a funding agreement.

Reasons for the decision

These decisions are to enable expenditure from
the Your Fund Surrey to be awarded to a project which have been the
subject of a rigorous assessment process by officers, as set out in
Annexe 1.
Officers consider the project to meet the aims
and published criteria of the fund, has been considered by the Your
Fund Advisory Panel and to satisfy the requirements to award
funding.
The project will install external toilets,
showers and a washroom to enhance the hall’s facilities for
the wider community and encourage more young people to engage in
Duke of Edinburgh.
