Purpose

The Minerals and Waste Policy
Team is seeking approval for the Local Aggregate Assessment 2024
(LAA). The LAA is a report that monitors the supply and demand of
aggregate minerals in the county and forms part of the Minerals and
Waste Development Framework, which is a material consideration in
the determination of minerals and waste planning applications.
Surrey County Council has a statutory duty to prepare and publish
an LAA each year.
