Purpose
That Cabinet approves capital investment from the Minor Capital Works Schools Programme for the re-design and replacement of the roof covering to the main building, rainwater drainage from the roof and underground drainage from the site to prevent roof leaks, counter internal condensation and to enhance drainage capacity at Pond Meadow School, Guildford. The completed works will safeguard the health of pupils and staff, provide a dry, warm and safe learning environment, and improve the overall condition and energy-efficiency of the building.

RESOLVED:
- That Cabinet approves the allocation of capital funding from the Schools Capital Maintenance Budget for 2026/27, to undertake the proposed roofing works at Pond Meadow School.
- That Cabinet approves appointment of the contractor currently building the new SEND teaching block at Pond Meadow School to carry out the works, in accordance with the Council’s Procurement and Contract Standing Orders.
- That Cabinet delegates authority the Deputy Chief Executive, Executive Director of Resources (Section 151 Officer) and the Director of Land and Property to award contracts within a budgetary tolerance of up to +5%.
