Surrey Cabinet approved targeted amendments to the Home to School Travel Assistance Policy (Under16) for publication and implementation from September 2026. The amendments include additional text regarding nearest school eligibility, statutory walking distances, how distances are measured, a rework of the EOTAS and Alternative Provision section, and additional text within concessionary seats. Cabinet also agreed delegated authority to the Executive Director for Children, Families and Lifelong Learning to make minor changes to the policies as required.
