Purpose
To consider the month end budget report and make any recommendations as appropriate.
Decision
RESOLVED:
- That Cabinet notes the risks and opportunities identified in relation to the Council’s budget position for the year (paragraphs 3-9).
- That Cabinet approves the increase in the net revenue budget to £1,267.0m due to the additional funding announced as part of the Final Local Government Finance Settlement (paragraphs 1-2).
- That Cabinet notes the allocation of funding to Cabinet Priorities, as set out in paragraphs 10-12.
- That Cabinet approves the allocation of the Crisis & Resilience Fund to Communities in Adults, Wellbeing & Health Partnerships (AWHP) and delegates decisions on the distribution of this funding in line with the grant conditions to the Executive Director of AWHP in consultation with the Cabinet Member for Health & Wellbeing and Public Health, as set out in paragraphs 13-15.
- That Cabinet notes the increase in the overall capital budget to £323.1m based on recommendations already agreed by Cabinet.
- That Cabinet approves the re-allocation of £1.68m of capital funding from the Extra Care Housing Phase 2 capital budget to enable the demolition of 3 former care home sites, to mitigate significant and escalating risks associated with the vacant and deteriorating buildings (paragraph 18-19).
- That Cabinet approves the £1.5m capital contribution to the Sanway-Byfleet Flood Alleviation Scheme, from the existing flood alleviation capital budget (paragraph 20).
