Surrey County Council's Cabinet Member for Property, Waste and Infrastructure decided on 21 April 2026 to approve the joint disposal of Clarendon House. The decision formally declared the asset surplus to operational requirements and approved the disposal of the Council's freehold interest in conjunction with the Surrey and Borders Partnership NHS Foundation Trust's head-leasehold interest. Authority was delegated to the Deputy Chief Executive and Executive Director of Resources to finalise the transaction and enter into associated legal agreements.
