The Sutton Shareholdings Board is a sub-committee of the Strategy and Resources Committee responsible for the Council's role as a corporate shareholder. It monitors the financial and social performance of companies the Council holds shares in, ensuring their operations align with business plans and council values.

The board evaluates company performance, risks, and opportunities, and considers key decisions reserved for shareholder approval. These include adopting business plans, appointing directors, and approving dividends. The board can report and make recommendations to the Strategy and Resources Committee and consult other council committees.
