About

The Health and Adult Social Care Scrutiny Panel at Tameside Council examines services that promote residents' health, wellbeing, and independence. It scrutinises the integration of health and care services, adult social care delivery, mental health support, public health programmes, and community wellbeing initiatives.

The Panel reviews how the Council collaborates with NHS partners and other organisations to reduce health inequalities and improve outcomes. While it cannot make decisions, it provides recommendations to improve services commissioned and provided by both the NHS and the Council, holding Executive Members responsible for Adult Social Care and Population Health and Wellbeing to account.
