The Health Scrutiny Committee examines and monitors the planning and performance of the Council's adult social care and health services, as required by the Health and Social Care Act 2012. It reviews the Council's delivery of adult social care, considers proposals for changes to these services, and addresses local concerns. The committee also monitors the performance of NHS Trusts impacting local residents, acts as a statutory consultee for significant NHS service alterations, and collaborates with Shropshire Council on a Joint Health Overview and Scrutiny Committee. It responds to referrals from Healthwatch concerning both health and adult care services.
