Purpose

This officer decision follows on from a decision taken collectively by the Leader of the Council, the Portfolio Holder for Assets and the Portfolio Holder for Environment on 8 October 2024 to approve the high level content of the waste contract specification. As set out in the delegations from Cabinet made on 26 July 2024, it is delegated to the Corporate Director for Operations

Decision

To approve the detail of the waste contract service specification and other documents associated with the first stages of the procurement of a new waste and recycling collection and street cleaning contract to commence from 2026.
