Purpose

A decision was published on 30 June 2026 titled "Heating & Air Handling Compliance Service Contract", which approved the award of, and entry into, a contract with Lindsey Group for the provision of Heating and Air Handling Services at Clacton Leisure Centre, Walton-on-the-Naze Lifestyles and Dovercourt Bay Lifestyles. The contract term is two years, commencing on 1 August 2026 and expiring on 31 July 2028, with an option to extend for a further 12 months.
Following execution of the contract by both parties, it was identified that a number of assets were not included within the specification and scope of the maintenance contract. To ensure that all relevant assets are covered by the service provision and to maintain compliance across the facilities, it is necessary to enter into a Deed of Variation to incorporate the omitted assets into the existing contract.

Decision

A)To incorporate additional assets into the Heating & Air Handling Service Contract by way of Deed of Variation. These assets were not included in the original specification and have been identified now as required as part of the servicing and maintenance elements within the contract.
B)As a result of the variation, there is an additional charge of £1,931.54 excluding VAT, for the entire duration of the contract. This brings to total contract value to £48,321.31.
