About

The Climate Change Cabinet Advisory Group (CCCAG) advises Thanet District Council's Cabinet on progress towards its Net Zero Strategy and action plan. It oversees the creation of new documents needed to meet climate pledges, such as updated action plans and biodiversity strategies. The group also considers new initiatives, such as those addressing transport emissions, and reviews relevant legislation and officer briefings. As an advisory body, it makes recommendations but does not have decision-making powers. Its work is restricted to its stated terms of reference unless reviewed by the Leader of the Council.
