About
The Corporate Parenting Committee ensures all parts of Thurrock Council work together to provide the best possible services for children in their care. It promotes the role of councillors as corporate parents and scrutinises their work on behalf of young people. The committee includes co-opted members with relevant experience, such as representatives from the Children in Care Council, to advise and enhance the scrutiny process. While meetings are generally open to the public, some discussions may require their exclusion.
