The Thurrock Health and Wellbeing Board is responsible for improving health and wellbeing and reducing inequalities across the borough. It develops and oversees the implementation of Thurrock's Health and Wellbeing Strategy, setting priorities and ensuring services are connected and preventative. The Board aims to address wider determinants of health, such as education, employment, housing, and community resilience, to 'level the playing field' for all residents. Its membership includes elected councillors, council directors, and representatives from various health, social care, and community organisations.
