Purpose

As the Local Planning Authority, the council is responsible for investigating suspected breaches of planning control reported by members of the public. Our Planning Service - Local Enforcement Plan explains how we carry out our enforcement duties, what our priorities are and the types of enforcement action that may be taken. This report is being presented to seek approval from Cabinet to adhere to the Planning Service - Local Enforcement Plan.
