About

The Audit Committee oversees the Council's internal control, governance, and financial management systems. It reviews audit plans, external audit reports, the Annual Governance Statement, and anti-fraud initiatives. The committee also examines the Council's risk management and financial administration, and approves the Statement of Accounts. It is composed of seven councillors appointed by Full Council, with meetings open to the public.
