Purpose

The report sets out the Housing Management Strategic Risks and how they are managed and/or mitigated by Housing Management services.

Decision

That the Mayor in Housing Management Cabinet Sub-Committee:

1. Approved the Risk Map and risk scores as at Appendix 1.
2. Noted the control measures outlined within Appendix 2 to effectively manage and mitigate the risks outlined across the Housing Management service.

REASONS FOR THE DECISIONS

1. Overview of Strategic Risks for the Housing Management Service is part of the Terms of Reference of the Cabinet Sub Committee and reflects strong Governance.
2. Effective risk management is key to meeting our statutory obligations and the requirements of the Consumer Standards.

ALTERNATIVE OPTIONS

There are no alternative options – management of risks is essential to meeting statutory and regulatory requirements, in line with the Council’s Risk Management Strategy (2025-30).
