Purpose

This
report seeks Cabinet approval for the Parking Strategy
2025-30.  The Parking Strategy aims to
support the Borough by meeting its current and future parking
needs, balancing those of residents and businesses, whilst
supporting the Council’s desire to respond to the Climate
Emergency.  The Parking Strategy will
span 5 years, effective between 1 April 2025 and the 31 March 2030
and is presented following consultation during December 2024,
January and February 2025.

RESOLVED – That
the interim report be noted.
 
REASON FOR DECISION: To
provide an initial overview in anticipation of a full analysis and
report to follow later in 2025.
