Purpose

Public
Spaces Protection Orders (PSPOs) are intended to deal with a
particular nuisance or problem in a specific area that is
detrimental to the local community’s quality of life, by
imposing conditions on the use of that area.  Orders introduced in 2022 are set to expire on 23
June 2025.  This report makes
recommendations for their continued use.

Decision

RESOLVED – That
the proposals for extending certain orders, as set out in section 2
of this report and summarised in section 4 in accordance with the
conditions in Section 59 (2) of the Anti-social Behaviour Crime and
Policing Act 2014 be approved and the necessary consultation,
publicity and notification having been completed.

REASON FOR DECISION:  To ensure that where a
particular nuisance or problem exists conditions are in place to
help protect public spaces from persistent anti-social
behaviour.
