Purpose

The
Council Tax Reduction scheme is reviewed on an annual
basis.  This report will make
recommendations of changes to the scheme.  It will ask for approval to go out to consultation
if any changes to the scheme are to be made.

Decision

RESOLVED –  That the consultation on
making changes to the Council Tax Reduction Scheme for 2026/27 be
approved.
 
REASON FOR DECISION:  To continue with the new system that
has provided a simplified inbuilt claiming process covering a wide
range of income ranges.
