Purpose

This
report seeks Cabinet Member approval to allocate and release
£16,905.27 of S106 planning obligation funding to Brenchley
and Matfield Parish Council towards the refurbishment of the
pavilion and replacement of wooden posts.

Decision

RESOLVED: 
That £16,905.27 being part of the planning obligation
contribution collected for use towards community facilities and
children’s recreation pursuant to the terms of a planning
agreement in respect of planning permission 19/01099/OUT PLOT 29,
12 Maidstone Road, is allocated and released to Brenchley and
Matfield Parish Council to be used towards repairs to Matfield
Pavilion and replacement of wooden posts in the immediate
surroundings be approved.

Reasons for the decision

To
agree to the project meets the terms of the agreement and supports
Brenchley and Matfield Parish Council in delivering the
project.

Alternative options considered

Do
nothing and reject the request to release funding would risk having
to return the S106 sum plus accrued interest to the
developer.
