Purpose

To
consider and update on the Budget and the current financial
position of the Council (Stage 2 of 4 in setting the forthcoming
year’s budget).

Decision

RESOLVED – That officers continue to work towards plans to reduce the
projected budget deficit in the short to medium term to prepare for
the recommissioning of contracts in 2027 and report back in
December with draft proposals prior to public consultation be
approved.
 
REASON FOR DECISION:  To enable Directors
and Heads of Service to continue the service planning process and
to help develop proposals with their respective Cabinet Member(s)
for savings, changes to service delivery and optimise
income.
