Purpose

To
invite organisations based in the borough to apply for one off
grants to provide direct support to residents of the
borough.

Decision

RESOLVED

 

That
the creation of a Community Support Fund to the value of
£100,000 for 2025/26, to be funded from the Revenue Budget
and spent by 31 March 2026 be approved.

 

That
this fund be allocated to charities based in the borough, to
deliver:

A - support to residents of the borough to help them
through the cost-of-living crisis or

B - deliver capital projects which will enable them
to provide new services to residents or make their existing service
provision more financially sustainable, be approved.
 

That
Cabinet delegate the allocation of the funding to the Community
Grants Assessment Panel, following an application process, be
approved.

 

4.   
That the delegation to the Head of Finance,
Procurement and Parking in consultation with the Head of the Legal
Partnership, to negotiate and complete all necessary agreements,
deeds and documents arising from this decision, be
approved.
