Purpose

This
report seeks Cabinet Member approval to allocate and release
£133,150.00 of Section 106 planning obligations to fund the
installation of new prefabricated changing facilities at the Bayham
Sports Ground.

Decision

RESOLVED – That £133,150.00 of a
developer Recreation Contributions collected pursuant to the
planning agreement in of respect planning permissions 12/02547 Kent
and Sussex Hospital, be released and allocated to fund the
demolition and purchase of replacement changing rooms at Bayham
Sports Ground.

Reasons for the decision

The
recommended option is to agree to allocate and release the funding
for £133,150 through the use of developer contributions
collected for that purpose.
The
release of £133.150 can be completed as the funds are held by
Tunbridge Wells Borough Council.

Alternative options considered

1.    
Do nothing and reject the request to release the
funding.
 
2.    
Proceed with the request to release the funding
towards the project at Bayham Sports ground.
