Purpose

The report relates to the planning application 18/00602/FULL Knights Wood Phase 4 and S106 Deed of Modification 25/00242/MOD106.The Home Farm Lane lighting contribution (£30,091.46) was received in February 2020 towards transport and travel to provide provisions and maintenance of lighting the pedestrian and cycleway route along Home Farm Lane, which was due to expire.

Decision

RESOLVED:  That the S106 developer contribution known as the Home Farm Lane contribution collected pursuant to the planning permission 18/00602/FULL Knights Wood Phase 4 dated 21st January 2019, and the following S106 modification agreement 25/00242/MOD106 dated 9th December 2025 totalling £30,091.46 be released to Kent High Weald Project (KHWP) for the Sherwood Lake and Woods Access project be approved.  

Reasons for the decision

This option is favourable because it would comply with the S106 and Committee report and because it can be implemented and thereby ensure mitigation for the effects of the development.

Alternative options considered

Do nothing and the money will have to be repaid to the developer and consequently, no Sherwood Access Project will take place at Knight’s Wood.
