Purpose

This
report relates to the funds collected under s106 agreements or
agreed in signed s106 agreements, but where the payment to the
Council had not yet been triggered, for the purpose of Biodiversity
Net Gain on Council owned woodland referred to as the Interim
Biodiversity Net Gain Project.

Decision

RESOLVED:
 
1.   
That developer contributions totalling
£51,271.76 collected pursuant to the planning agreements in
respect of planning permissions 18/01976 Land at Gibbet and Furnace
Lane, Horsmonden and 21/00825 Ringle Farm, Sandhurst be used to
improve biodiversity on Council owned woodland sites at Marshley
Harbour Woods, Snipe and Bassets Wood and High Woods and to
implement the Councils Interim Biodiversity Net Gain Project be
approved.
 
2.   
That developer contributions totalling
£160,200.00 included within the signed s106 agreements for
the developments listed below be used as and when triggered for
payment to the Council to improve biodiversity on Council owned
woodland sites at Marshley Harbour Woods, Snipe and Bassets Woods
and High Woods and to implement the Councils Interim Biodiversity
Net Gain project be approved.

3.   
 That the use of such
funds be administered by the Landscape and Biodiversity Officer to
provide the required number of biodiversity units allocated to each
planning consent under the direction of the Head of Service in
consultation with the Cabinet Member and that any necessary
contracts entered into for the execution of the works are in
accordance with the Council’s financial and procurement
standing orders be approved.
