Purpose
The
release of S106 funding for the refurbishment of the Old Orchard
Play area in Sandhurst, to include a basket swing, and a Rota
bounce, plus the installation of safety surfacing, the replacement
of two outdated swing seats, the Tayplay climbing cone and
upgrading the safety surfacing and fencing. And for the installation of adult exercise
equipment at Marsh Quarter Play Field.
Decision
RESOLVED – That developer
contributions totalling £83,487.71 received through planning
application 21/00825/OUT, land south of Ringle Green be released to
Sandhurst Parish Council towards the refurbishment of the play area
at Old Orchard Play area Ringle Green and the supply and
installation of adult exercise equipment at Marsh Quarter Play
Field, Marsh Quarter Lane be approved.
Reasons for the decision
Agreeing the project meets the terms of the s106 agreement and
will extend the life of the equipment in a safe and usable
condition and provide the opportunity for local residents to take
part in exercise.
Alternative options considered
Do
nothing – The agreement is specific towards the use of the
funds towards improvements to community land in Sandhurst including
refurbishment of the play area.
