Purpose

Recommendations for five Public Spaces Protection Orders (PSPOs)
that are set to expire in either September or December of this year
will be presented to Cabinet.  The PSPOs
to be discussed include restrictions on begging and rough sleeping
(where anti-social behaviour is a factor), anti-social drinking in
public, amplified music causing an unreasonable disturbance in the
town centre and various dog controls.

Decision

RESOLVED – That in accordance with the conditions in Section 59 (2) of the
Anti-Social Behaviour Crime and Policing Act 2014 and all
consultation, publicity and notification has been completed, that
proposals for extending, varying or discharging certain orders, as
set out in Section 2 of the report, and summarised in Section 4 be
approved.
 
REASON FOR
DECISION: To ensure that where a
particular nuisance or problem exists conditions are in place to
help protect public spaces from persistent anti-social
behaviour.
