Considered the responses to the public consultation as set out in
this report and in the Consultation Engagement Report at Appendix
1, and Petitions Summary at Appendix 2 of the report;
2.
Considered the options and alternatives considered set out in
Section 4 of the report;
3.
Noted that the proposal consulted upon which was to extend the P2P
hours days to include Sundays is no longer put forward as a
recommendation in the report;
4.
Agreed that where P2P restrictions currently extend to a Sunday for
local historical reasons in a very limited number of locations,
that these remain in place;
5.
Agreed to amend P2P hours across the Borough to: 8am –
6:30pm, Monday to Saturday;
6.
Agreed to remove the current 1-hour free parking period in P2P bays
between 1pm – 2pm;
7.
Agreed to remove 15-minutes free parking currently in place
borough-wide in P2P bays;
8.
Agreed to introduce the recommended changes via an Experimental
Traffic Order (ETO), to come into operation on 1 April 2025;
9.
Noted the Reference from Climate Scrutiny Committee at Appendix 4
of the report
