to consider and approve the content of the ‘A Fairer and
Healthier Waltham Forest Roadmap’ which sets out the
Council’s approach to tackling health
inequalities.

Cabinet noted our commitments and ambitions to address the health
inequalities that exist within our borough as set out in our
‘Building a Fairer and Healthier Waltham Forest’ report
included in Appendix A to the report. 

 
OPTIONS & ALTERNATIVES
CONSIDERED

The Council is committed to improving health inequalities across
Waltham Forest, informed by the findings and recommendations set
out in the Marmot report. This report was considered to be the most
effective mechanism for setting out our response.
