The Sub-Committee determined the application
to review the premises licence of Island Spot;
The Sub-Committee determined to modify
the premises licence hours, exclude a licensable activity,
and add conditions to the licence.
 
The changes are as follows:

·       Opening Hours – Monday-Sunday
12:00 –
23:00
 

·       Sale
of alcohol for on-sales and off-sales consumption – Monday
-Sunday
12:00 –
22:45
 
The Sub-Committee agreed to
exclude:

·       To
remove the right for the premises to have live and recorded music
during deregulated times 08:00 – 23:00.
 
The Sub-Committee agreed to add the
following conditions to the licence;

·       That
all on-sale purchases of alcohol are made to seated
patrons.

·       A
suitably worded sign, of a size A4 or larger, shall be displayed at
the premises providing the manager/ DPS’ contact number for
residents to contact if any issues emanate from the
premises.

·       That
the number of smokers allowed outside of the premise in the
designated smoking area (marquee) is limited to six (6)
patrons.
The Sub-Committee also made the following
recommendation:

·       That
the DPS advises patrons to not park their cars in the alleyway
adjacent to the premises and neighbours driveways.

·       That
a member of staff collects any litter outside the immediate
vicinity of the premises once in the morning and once in the
evening.
These changes to the premises licence are to
take immediate effect.
The Sub-Committee
considered this decision to be appropriate for the promotion of the
licensing objectives.
 
This decision can
be appealed within 21 days of receiving this letter, in accordance
with the provisions contained within Schedule 5 to the Licensing
Act 2003, to Thames Magistrates Court, 58 Bow Road, London E3 4DJ,
such an appeal to be made within twenty-one days of notification of
